University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.uofmchildrenshospital.org/About/index.htm )〕 (formerly known as Amplatz Children's Hospital) is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and affiliated with the University of Minnesota Medical School. It provides a broad spectrum of pediatric programs and services—ranging from pediatric general surgery, imaging, and neonatal and pediatric intensive care to cardiac and oncology services, blood and marrow transplant, bone marrow, and organ transplantation. Innovative approaches and affiliation with the University of Minnesota have led to several firsts, including the first successful pediatric blood marrow transplant, infant heart transplant in Minnesota and cochlear ear implant surgery for a child. The hospital also is home to Minnesota’s only children's behavioral inpatient unit and programming exclusively devoted to children ages 12 and younger. University of Minnesota Children's Hospital features one of the three largest kidney transplant programs in the world specializing in infants and small children. ==References==
